I realize that yesterday I probably should have said something like:
"I'm grateful for all those men and women who have bravely fought in war after war to secure our freedom. They are such great examples to me of selflessness and strength when it comes to preserving our rights to govern ourselves in the way we see fit. War is not something easy to go through, and there are casualties that surmount year after year even during times of peace. Casualties of the mind, spirit, and body. I am so grateful for the sacrifices that families make to 'lend' their father, brothers, sons, wives, sisters, daughters, etc. to the cause of independence."
However, when writing my post for yesterday, I forgot that it would be Veteran's Day. So, even though it is a day late ... I am still extremely grateful for all the veterans who have given their time to keep our country safe ... for, because of their service, I still have the ability to write what I want on my blog, and worship the way that I want to. Two very important things to me.
