I have been on a little "computer strike" this last month. Not quite sure how that happened. All I know is that I haven't had the desire to sit down at the computer much. Maybe that's the curse of my iPhone ... I can still check my email and even surf the internet on there instead of sitting at the computer.
Amid all of the chaos of our move, I did not take any pictures ... even though I meant to. And, the only thing I did to document what our house looks like, is record a little video tour on my phone right before we left to go to Utah. Expressly for the purpose of showing my family.
This last month we have been busy, and not so busy. I have worked hard, and then been a little bit lazy. So, there are no new photos of our new house. Except what you'll see in this and the next two posts I plan on writing soon. Maybe one day I will get around to taking pictures ... maybe after we have finished all the cleaning. (I'm still walking around in awe that this is our house. And, we still haven't finished cleaning all the minor areas of the house. The house was vacant for about a year, so the baseboards really gathered some dust. And, the more I clean, the more I come to the conclusion that the previous owners weren't very clean people. All of the door jams have metal shavings on them, as well as the doors, because of the hinges. I haven't decided whether I will have to paint the doors and door jams yet. Oh, well ... I digress.)
My Miss Maryanne got really messy one day. So, being the lazy person I was that day, I chose to put her in the kitchen sink instead of walk up the flight of stairs to put her in the bathtub.
Our kitchen sink is ginormous! We didn't realize how huge the sink is until after we moved in. It is by far the deepest sink I have ever seen. It is black ... something that I thought for sure Jon would hate (the man who hates all things black), but it hasn't bothered him too much.
I don't know if I have shared any pictures of M in the sink in the apartment, but I remember sitting her in that sink, and the counter came up to her waist. That is how much deeper this sink is. I want to get those gel pads that go on the bottom of the sink to help avoid broken dishes when our children drop them into the sink. Anyway, I don't have pictures of the house, but I do have these pictures of the sink. Does that make everyone feel better about my long absence? :0)
