*The next few entries share our experiences over the last few weeks ... I haven't had time to keep up as things have happened ... but I want to get back on track!*

It's a been a few weeks since all of this happened, but I want to blog about it so I remember it all. This whole adventure has been a whirlwind, and it's still not over. The above pictures show the last of the load for the truck. I meant to take pictures as it was happening, but because I was the go-to person for the moving crew I was running all over the place, and also trying to stay out of their way. Our house was filled with boxes ... my neighbors can testify as they came over to say good-bye on the day the packers came.

Here's day two of driving ... this is after church in Oklahoma. As you can see, we are all a little sick of driving, and we still had one more day to go.
We pulled into Phoenix around 5 p.m. on Monday. My mom was the first to welcome us here, coming to our corporate-paid-for apartment as soon as she got off work. The children were ecstatic to see her ... all except Maryanne who was wondering who this stranger was. (We hadn't seen my mom for about a year.) That Monday also happened to be Andrew's birthday. While my mom visited with children and me, Jon ran to the closest grocery store and got us some food for dinner (mac & cheese w/ hot dogs) and a cake for Andrew (which turned out to be more applicable for Adam, but it was the thought that counts).
The journey to sell our house in Minnesota was over, and the journey to find a house in Arizona began.
... to be continued ....

Here is everyone the day we drove out of Minnesota. Despite some of the appearances of boredom, everyone was in "vacation" mode and ready to go on a trip. Forget the fact that we have the last of our possessions that didn't make it on the truck above our heads atop the car.

Weren't you so sad to shut the door to your old home? When we moved I stood in the doorway of our old home for like 5 minutes just breathing in the memories. So sad, but so exciting. Love new adventures!!
